The Tanker Helmet in DayZ is a helmet inspired by the headgear issued to Soviet Union tankers in World War II. Despite being called a helmet, it resembles a heavily cushioned hat. The original helmet featured built-in headphones and a throat microphone for communication in the loud tank environment, but these features are not included in the game.
